I think I give the most diverse genre goes to metal. I was looking into bands similar to one I really like and this one band came up called Alestorm. Looking into them they are a scottish band with a pirate theme that critics and there fanbase refer to them as Bacon Powered Pirate Core which would make it a sub-genre of the sub-genre Folk metal which is a cross of folk music and melodic death metal.

What do you think of the band? If you don't like it well

they have fiddle playing dwarves, your arguement is invalid

If their are any obscure mini genre that you like post it! :)

I don't like it, but that "small person" isn't doing anything to help the band in any way.

it's  a music video the keytarist/vocalist isn't doing much during the song either during some of the scenes.

I used to listen to them a ton. But I stopped for some reason. I've mainly just been listening to Melodic Death Metal, Death Metal, Black Metal, and even some J-metal.

Here's some obscure metal,

Logan from Tek Syndicate introduced me to this.

If you don't think it's obscure, just keep listening, it turns into jazz.

Interesting song. I mostly listen to folk metal and that area, because I can get my mom to listen to it in the car(only 14). I do at my computer listen to amon amarth a lot though there guitarist are just really good.

Bacon Powered Pirate Core, well that's a creative nickname

It was what the fans and critics made up, because it was under the fold of folk metal and if you have ever heard a folk metal song this doesn't really fit much with that sub-genre(there are over 40 large sub-genres in metal)

XD, I always put my death metal on in the car. The rule is, "the driver gets to put it on whatever they want." And since my parents never want to drive, and my sister is too young, I win.

Also, I flippin' love Amon Amarth.

I wish that was the rule with my family I would drive whenever I could once I get a permit. My dad doesn't really like music if it isn't classical, from the 60's or Madonna.

Yeah, my dad listens to a lot of 60's-80's music. And Adele. It's quite annoying. On the plus side, my uncle listens to a lot of black metal.

She loves hard rock and celtic style music and they pretty much go together in folk metal. Her favorite group is probably eluveitie.

It's a silly song they have more stuff that is more serious, but the singer might be a little crazy.
