If you take a look at my $1500 build in my signature, it has a 980 Ti, plus you can downgrade some of the components to suit your budget a little more. Big improvement over the 390X IMO. Plus Amazon US carries most if not all of the components.

If you read my original post it mentions me upgrading to 980ti or fury from 390x if price drops significantly on march 2016

But why wait for the price to drop if it already can be fitted in your budget? With a 4790K and everything?

I'm building it in MARCH 2016 !

I don't really need the 980 ti as I will be probably gaming at 1440p or 1080p

If 4K becomes affordable I might consider the 980ti

Also I want the build to last for 5-6 years

I might get a freesync or G-sync monitor

I might an extra GPU later for being able to enjoy both nvidia and amd optimised games

Well I'm sure the 980 Ti will last you a few years, it's no slouch. I'm just saying, you always want as much GPU as you can get your hands on. There will be times you will regret not getting a more powerful GPU.

Now i'm going to say this.

You sure going with a 750D......it's pretty huge.

Unless your doing some 2-3 card setup with something like a Raid array, a 450D would be a better choice.

I got it cause it's price dropped and is an affordable full-tower

Second if possible i want to use this case for about 10 years

Then I will go custom liquid cooling and multi GPU set up

I'd say just wait for the 750D to go dirt cheap.

Overrated cases like H440/R5/Enthoo Pro are taking the crown so the 750D is low in demand so it's cheap now.

Got my 750D lower than a 450D.

I am 15 as of now

After 7 years I will start working for a living

Then I will go all-out and build a very expensive system($3K and above)

(If fate allows !)

Look, the point is to squeeze out as much performance as possible while staying in your budget. For the exact same budget you can get all of the same components (and some better ones) plus a 980 Ti instead of a 390X. It will completely destroy 1080p and 1440p, and you won't have to worry about the thought that you could've gotten a better GPU. For the exact same budget!

Even if you like AMD and that's the reason you want to stick with the 390X, the Fury X is the same price as the 980 Ti and it'll still be more powerful than the 390X.

Sorry, it's really frustrating for me to see a build that could have so much more power for the same price. The 390X is still no slouch though. The performance is almost on par with a GTX 980.

Ok ! I will rework my budget

But by next January

Since build commences after march2016
