Just gaming?

Yes but, I might do a bit of photoshop and video editing. Monitor is 1080p, but I might go 4K or get a G-Sync or Freesync monitor(1440P)

I want to play on the Med- Ultra settings bar for next 5 years w/out upgrade

probably get a 250gb Samsung 850 evo and get a Hitachi or wd drive rather than Seagate just for reliability. I've never personally had a problem by apparently plenty of people have.

Also what about CPU cooling? And at $630 for a CPU and mobo you could get lga2011v3 and a six core hyper threaded 5820k

Again, AIO liquid cooler is my preference on a 1.5k build. I don't know why you wouldn't just like an SSD above 250 even though you could fit programs like Skype that take ages to start on a regular HDD, as well as PS, Adobe related things, and most frequently played steam games but whatever OP wants...

Also agree on that, Forumla is a waste of money. Again, Platinum eff power supply is my personal preference.

My belief is even if you spend extra get the more reliable one(No offense)

And ASUS is legendary for their reliability

You realise each jump in eff is only +2%? It makes little difference. Also OP said no more than 120 SSD, and he said not Overclocking tam, in which case Hyper 212 EVO is good enough.

The 650w and 750w NEX models are bad for their price.

There are better options at this price range.

x99 is not worth for gaming only.

Also this is LGA 2011-3 not 2011.

z97 is cheaper overall, you can't compare prices with only the CPU price, you need to include mobo/ram aswell if you are going to compare them.

Also 8/10 on the build. If it were mine I'd get a $150 dollarish mobo since there are still great ones and get a 250gb ssd, a good CPU cooler, then gone with a 290x since they're cheaper for the same thing, and a few high quality fans.

true. But op said they might do PhotoShop and video editing in which case lga2011-3 is simply more powerful
