Drives are write protected
Try using take ownership its just a small registry change that allows you to right click on the folder and "take ownership" . It has worked for me in the past when I locked myself out of folders. You can get it here http://cdn9.howtogeek.com/wp-content/uploads/TakeOwnership.zip
it only worked for the wd drive and 840 pro, the 850 pro i finally got it to work using this method i found.
In regedit:
------------
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\policies\system
and
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Wow6432Node\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Policies\system
(NOTE: changing one usually changes the other)
KEY: EnableLUA VALUE: Disable (0)
after a reset it worked, but only the 850 which was c: drive, the rest thanks to that override i got it to work. thanks for the help.
