3DMark Score Reduce?

Go to solution Solved by Crowes,

I checked CPU-Z to confirm the Core Clock being 2GHz and it confirmed. Turns out the MSI A88X-G45 has a "slow mode" switch for overclockers as a fall-back. It was either knocked at some point (probably by my technician during the swapping process) or came like that... jeez.

Hi, here's a test from the same setup before and after some parts had to be replaced due to faultyness. After everything that was faulty had been replaced, I noticed some significant drops in performance, and this proves it.

One thing. What does this mean? The graphics card is underperforming? The system is underperforming in general? Anything specific?

What did you replace?

APU [AMD A10-6800K] and Motherboard [MSI A88X-G45]. The exact same that I had from before, apart from the motherboard, which is supposed to be better than the old [ASRock FM2-A55M] one.

did you have anything else running that could have caused the lower score or change operating system?

No process seems to be taking a significant amount of resources, pretty much the same as there was in the test in the first test.

3DMark pointed out that the three differences were OS, Mobo, Core Clock (from 4.2GHz to 2GHz, but its the same processor only the highest score is from the one that was replaced as it was faulty and the lower result is from the replacement), Driver and FM Approvement.
