Man, its actually making me want to play it really bad now. Still at work unfortunately.

I am going to give it a go with a 360 pad and see how that feels. More than likely will end up getting a stick but not that expensive. Was thinking http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B001DMUCAC?colid=2C4N957TWVRJ0&coliid=I30I5VH2EIW218&ref_=wl_it_dp_o_pC_nS_ttl

I use a cheap Logitech Extreme 3D Pro along with a Logitech G13 gaming keyboard and it works great. I also have Voice Attack with ASTRA pack and an EDTracker Pro. If you can get the Logitech joystick for cheap, I would recommend it.

Oh yeah, I've tried Voice Attack. Sadly, with my accent Windows' default speech recognition engie doesn't understand a word (unlike Siri, kudos Apple).

Hey folks.

I was thinking about getting into a new genre of gaming I have not played before... space.

Any recommendations on what games I could try out? A mix between customization of ships exploration and combat would be cool.

Thanks.

Elite Dangerous, I bought it on sale and it's pretty freaking awesome :D

For exploration, with it's 1:1 scale as-close-to replica of our milky way, it's hands down the best I've played :)

Currently if you nuy the new horizons expansion you get the base game with it but can't play until it's released later this year or you can get teh base game for £29.99 :)

I use an X52 Pro, and after it something like an X360 controller or mouse/keyboard feel... not authentic?

This is what I fly at the moment btw

I fly these two :D

So what is the aim?

Basically, make money, to buy bigger ships, to make more money. You are essentially a mercenary. Mining/Trading/Bounty Hunting/Pirating/Exploring/Fighting for monetary gain.

Although, now you can help the primary factions conquer the galaxy by fighting for them.
