Hey everyone,

So I have been saving up money to build my first computer, and I just want some input on whta you guys think of my build.

Any changes? anything you guys would recommend?

 

CPU: AMD FX-8350 black edition 8-core

Motherboard: ASUS M5A99FX PRO R2.0 ATX

RAM: G.Skill Ripjaw X Series (2x4GB)

Note: NewEgg has these 3 items as a promotion for $307

GPU: EVGA GeForce GTX 970 4GB SSC

SSD: Samsung 850 EVO 250 GB

HHD: Western Digital 1TB Blue

Case: ThermalTake Overseer RX-I Full ATX Tower

Monitor: ASUS VX238H Black 23"

Note: I have a hookup for the power supply that is 750W

 

Any help would be nice thanks a bunch

What would be the main purpose of this build? Gaming, video/sound editing, 3D modelling, etc?

Well, I think getting Intel is a better option right now, AMD is way too far behind.

but also 

Things to do:

Ground yourself every minute(That's some expensive components), you can do so by touching a plugged in power supply(off) or touching a huge piece of metal(Your Case is an great example).

Don't stand on a carpet.

Cause of right now I know the price that i am at right now and its fine, and for a CPU I dont want to overkill on it cause I have heard some good things on this CPU

Get intel, it's such a better option. An i5-4460 would outperform that 8350. Everything else looks fine

Go with a 128gb SSD. Put your OS on there and use the HDD for everything else. Put games with long load times on the SSD though.

Like i was planning to do that but also was going to put my Adobe Creative Suite C6 on the SSD so I just feel like that extra room is nice
