BIOS WONT LOAD

Go to solution Solved by Guest,

I recently built a computer everything was working well. I was able to get into my BIOS but now all of a sudden I can't get into my BIOS anymore. I press DELETE as it prompts but it just ignores it and skips to "Reboot and Select proper Boot device or Insert Boot Media in selected Boot device and press a key". I'm yet to install windows since I can't access my BIOS to change the boot order. I've got no clue what the problem is and i'm not sure if it's my keyboard because it is working perfectly fine.

Motherboard: MSI Z97-G45 Gaming

Unplug all HDD's

Re-plug in the keyboard and spam F2/Delete sometimes F12 will bring you into the boot device menu which you should be able to get into the bios from there

Are you using a usb keyboard? If you are, try a PS/2 one.

No I'm using a Razer Blackwidow Chroma, literally just bought it today.

That is a USB keyboard..

I mean one that uses this port:

Try smashing a different key (F2, F8, F12, or Del) and if that doesn't work then try using a different keyboard (a PS/2 one should have the best compatibility, as already mentioned by other people in this thread).

I actually couldn't underclock my 5 year old GPU to make it as slow as a next-gen console.

Oh crap sorry I spaced out and thought you said a wireless. I'm pretty noob when it comes to these things :(

If you currently have the keyboard plugged into a USB 3 port (blue one) try one of the red ones. If that doesnt help, try a different keyboard or even a PS/2 one like I said earlier.

Ask someone from ypur family or friends for one, they were used in old pcs. Alternatively you can find cheap usb to ps/2 adaptors, but i don't know how effective would that be
