My first Intel Build - Enter the Xeon!

Hi everyone! This is my new build that I just finished today and used a lot of my old parts from my AMD build. (The psu, ram, ssd, hard drive, and gpu)

 

Specs: 

  • Operating System: Windows 10
  • CPU: Xeon E3-1231 v3
  • RAM: 8GB G. Skill 2133 Ripjaws X, running at 1600
  • Motherboard: Asrock H81M-HDS
  • PSU: Corsair CX 600M
  • Graphics: R9 280x with a Kraken G10 and H55
  • Storage: Sandisk 128gb and Seagate ST3000DM001
  • Case: NZXT S340 (Red & Black)
  • Monitor: AOC I2269VW-B 22" Ultra-Slim IPS
  • Keyboard/Mouse: Cooler Master Storm Devastator (Red)

It's not the amazing build ever but, I'm happy with how it turned out. The next upgrade will be the gpu and psu to maybe an R9 390 and a Corsair RM650.

Not bad! I am getting that same Xeon soon, I will be pairing it with a Fury X.

The red and blue hurts my OCD.

But whatever, performance always comes before aesthetics. Sweet PC!

Don't worry about the blue! The gpu is only a place holder until my next upgrade. Thanks!

Maybe you could re-use the cooler for your next card, and spray paint the cooler. There's really a bunch of different ways you could go with it.

You know that guy that games on a MacBook? I'm that guy.

That does sound like a good idea acutally. I know the stock cooler is only in until I find the box for my Hyper T4 to install that baby on it. Firestrike took it about 70c which isn't to bad.
