ISP Solutions?

Go to solution Solved by IAMSWIFT1,

I live in a very small town and the only internet service providers are CenturyLink and CableOne. There is a few local service providers, but they change a lot. Is there another solution to a ISP I could get? or am stuck with CenturyLink and CableOne?

Generally the local ISPs will provide a service that the bigger ones don't offer (in your area) since your area isn't important enough to them or less profitable. Therefore a smaller ISP might take the chance and offer the service at a higher price with a more personal approch. You'll pay more since they don't have the benefits of a large company/ISP (cheap bandwith etc). But if you want their service paying the premium might be the way to go.

CentryLink does provide fiber to more commercial clients I believe, if you contact them as @Dimi3os said then I'm sure they would try to work with you to find a solution. Another options is calling a less reputable enterprise company like Cogent and requesting a 500/500 line, I did so and they worked with Verizon to use their lines but still offer it with an SLA.
