More than 3.0x4 is more than enough bandwidth for a 7770

I know that Nvidia has problems with running at 4x speed and AMD doesn't but is their a noticable frame drop between the two? The 550Ti would run at 8x while the 7770 would run at 4x.

Would I see less FPS drop in the 550Ti since it's not as much of a bottleneck compared to the 7770? also I should have changed it, the 550TI is $79.99 not $90.

They are still going to have exactly the same bandwidth it just doesn't work like that. Think of it like this. PCI-E 1.1 16x = PCI-E 2.0 8x = PCI-E 3.0 4x. If you put both cards on the 1.1 slot they are still going to get the same bandwidth. Graphics cards don't utilize PCI-E 3.0 16x since they don't need that much bandwidth especially not the lower end ones.

hd 7770 but i do not recommend it to you cause you are playing with 1440p so try to get a better graphic card

Wow, really? I don't think the OP was expecting top-notch performance at 1080p with this card, let alone 1440p. If your budget for a GPU is ~$100, then I doubt you're spending $300+ on a monitor.

I never said 1440P.... 14400x900 not 2560x1440

The 7770 like everyone else has said. It's also a much better overclocker.
