Hello guys,

I’m building a PC, and I would like your opinion about some PC parts if its possible. I’ve been cracking my head these days because I’m in doubt to know if I’m choosing correctly with the best config possible.

These are the settings that I’ve choosed so far

Power Supply: HX1000i Corsair

Processor: Intel i7 5820k

Motherboard: Asus Rampage V Extreme 3.1

Cooler: H100i GTX Corsair

Memory: 16Gb G.Skill Ripjaws 4 DDR4 3200MHz

SSD/HD: Corsair Force LS SSD 960Gb

GPU: GTX980Ti Strix

I would like to know your suggestions and opinions about my choice if it’s possible.

Also, I’m in doubt to change mobo, I don’t know if I get one with the Z170 Chipset or not…

Also, regard to the memory, it is a good choice ? And the GPU?

You're going way too high on the Power Supply. I've got SLI 980s and an i7-4790k on an AX760 with enough headroom left over.

NCASE M1 i5-12600kf  RTX 4060Ti FE Z690M-ITX  SF600 NH-L9x65 Chromax  LPX 32GB

It's mainly because in the near future I will get 980Ti SLi, I wanted to make sure to have everything okay... But if you say that's too much for now... So probably it's better one Corsair PW with 800W at least ?

Good build, but you can save money on a cheaper PSU and a cheaper motherboard if you are not looking to be over clocking stuff.

What PSU and Motherboard you recommend then ?

all of that looks great use???

Well, high-end PC Game to play in 4k that I want xD

For gaming get the i7-6700k. If you case can fit it, get a Kraken X61.

Well but they still are not selling yet... And I will be moving to Brazil very soon where taxes are very harsh, so I wanted to choose a config for now. Also Kraken X61 is better than H100i GTX .-. ? For the Case I was thinking to get a Cosmos II from Coolermaster

Tek Syndicate tests a 5960X and GTX980 TI SLI set up. That thing draws 840w from the wall. So you do need a 1000w power supply, if you plan to do SLI in the near future.

Many people don't realize Haswell-E draws a lot more power than mainstream Haswell.

Well I wanted to get another sli, but it's expensive x.x I live in UK so its no condition ;x atm. But beyond that I liked the config of what you've made grayblizzard.

But I've made some changes.

The Power Supply I will get still the: HX1000i

Motherboard: MSI Z170A Gaming M7

Memory: 2 x G Skill Ripjaws 4 Blue 16gb (2x8gb) DDR4 PC4-24000 3000MHz Dual Channel Kit

SSD/HD: 1 Corsair LX 512GB + 1TB (I still didn't decided the brand)

Cooler: Kraken X61

GPU: MSI 980Ti Gaming 6G

Case: NZXT S340 (Black) ATX Mid Tower Case

Thanks, for you explanation Deli, So I'm going with HX1000i corsair

Id agree with what grayblizzard has picked out, and you can change storage as you like.

The storage change was the SSD of 512GB from Corsair LX and another 1TB that I get :)

get grayblizzards build but switch the psu to the evga g2 850 (more reliable) and get another 980 ti

But I will be able to overclock ?
