It's a wierd phenomenon called "Digital Ant" where a real ant crawls into your monitor through an air vent and gets electrocuted by the LCD circuit board. It then becomes digital and crawls about in the pixel space of your monitor forever.

When you put your cursor over it, it squashes the ant, but it doesn't die as it is digital.

Is your monitor completely closed up correctly?

Yes it is pretty new and never opened it
