Hey mates,

i have a question. I am building a new PC and figured an aircooling solution out which makes to me "sense".

But i want opinions from other people for my idea.

The file beneath is a picture of my case with arrows that shows the flow direction. There are also the fan names included that i will be using.

Hope that i get some opinions on that!

Cheers!

NF-F12s are static pressure optimized fans so unless you put them on a rad or in an airflow restricted case like the H440 you could probably choose better fans for airflow. If not oh well, I'm sure they'll work fine as they're Noctuas. Lol

And you want the top and back exhausting and the bottom and front in taking. Hot air rises, so you want the top fan pushing air out.

But in the front there are the drive cages and a dustfilter, because of that i thought that the NF-F12 are a good solution to overcome this resistance.

Is it a good idea to use dustfilters even on the top if there are exhaust fans? I have 2 cats and they are jumping on ANYTHING and i dont want there fur in my case.

I dont have the money to put two exhaust fans on top of the case.

Oh and another thing, when I am using only one exhaust on the top should i mount it on the before or behing my CPU-Cooler?

Well, if getting noctua fans means you're out of budget for top fans, maybe consider a cheaper option? It's a good idea to use high SP fans on the front, there's always some resistance. You can use AP123s, they are cheaper and very good for front intake, and VERY quiet. On the top i would populate both fan mounts, but one should be fine, don't put filter on exhausts, it won't do anything but block your airflow. Also, the whole 'hot air rises' thing has been blown out of proportion, if you got constant airflow going through the case convection is barely a factor. Also, it does make sense using only the rear as exhaust since you have 3 fans feeding that exhaust, the CPU cooler, PSU and GPU have to be taken into account when balancing airflow.

Okay, well the PSU wont be a factor because I mount it fan side down so its taking in its own fresh air, oh and yes i have filters in the bottom of the case.

So considering I setup my fans like this, would that be a reasonable option? My goal is positive pressure because of my cats, they lose a lot of fur.
