no, just harder to clean. Also my friend had his h80i pump die, just so you know, it will get very loud.

I honestly couldn't care about noise, just wanted to be able to says I have water cooling and It looks far better

Also my friend said mounting the rad to the case can damage the paint, as long as this doesn't effect it otherwise then I'm not bothered but could the paint scraping off be bad for stability/performance?

No. It'll just lower the case's overall value if you ever sell it and make it look not as nice in that spot.

There is also the issue of his computer not cooling as well. He is going to rma it sometime soon, but he is lazy LOL!

You're lucky your mobo doesn't have a mosfet heatsink on the left side.
