Thermal Compound

Deciding on thermal compound. Yes, i know there is very minimal difference between most pastes but i want to know everyones opinions on what they like. Ive always been a fan of Prolimatech PK-3 but im considering switching to Gelid GC Extreme or bequiet! DC1 compound.

I dont care
if it comes with the cpu cooler, I'll use it. If it doesn't, I'll buy the one with the highest reviews

They're all about the same I go for stuff that doesn't need curing time and is non-conductive, I mostly use MX-4, Gelid Extreme is also really good.

How thick is Gelid Extreme? Ive always liked Prolimatech PK-3 because its very thick and doesnt get goopy when applying like other pastes such as Cooler Master and OCZ @W-L

I just recently tried Gelid extreme on my 5820k build and geild tends to be messy sticky and thin. Gelid must be spread with an applicator over the cpu. Cant apply to close to the edge of cpu or it will oozes out. Even after clean up, it can ooze out for a few days. As far a temps, at idle my cpu runs at 36c. Gaming load temps 45c. Also Geild is non conductive .

Test ideas by experiment and observation; build on those ideas that pass the test, reject the ones that fail; follow the evidence wherever it leads and question everything.

Arctic MX-4 seems pretty okay for the money. Not too thick and not too thin. I tried IC Diamond but it was really thick.
