will this be good for 1080p gaming?

AMD fx-6300 3.5ghz (stock), 8gb ddr3 memory, amd r7 260x, i wont be doing heavy 1080 gaming it will be more casual and computer will be used mostly for setting up virtual machines to play with and some visual productivity  i have all the parts already in a computer except GPU  currently running a old 8400gs i had laying around and looking for an upgrade

I have Fx-6300 and its random ... just random ... It is not bad but definetly not good tho.

you can probably get a used r9 280 or so for around $100

that would give you a lot better gaming performance

Overclock the 6300 to 4.0GHz and you will be fine but make sure u have good cooling.
