GPU Estimated Wattage Help?

So i'm getting a new GPU and I made a list with most of my parts and I'm trying to figure out something so I came here as a last resort.

I'm putting this together since I want to get into overclocking, but one thing I can't get my head around is that for the estimated wattage for the 980 is 41 - 165 watts and i'm thinking strange since on the website I am buying from claims that it needs 600W with two 8 pin-power connectors.

 

Or is it that the 8 pin-power connectors use 600W, i'm not sure.

 

I'm still fairly new with building computers since i only built my first build only 3 almost 4 years ago, and i'm just currently wanting to know if the PSU I am getting is enough to support everything.

 

I'm not gonna go SLI and i'm gonna play games like BF4, GTA V, Dying light and possibly new games that are coming out this year that require GPU power.
