I have been in the planning stages for a new PC for a long time now. I have slowly gotten the money for better and better parts, and now I am ready to buy. I just want to make sure that all the parts are compatible.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Budget

Right now the computer as a whole with peripherals and the monitor is $2000. Is there a way I can decrease that cost without losing any performance?

Aim

This will be a gaming rig that can also do other power hungry tasks, like the occasional video editing project. I will be taking this to college, so I will not get a full tower case.

Monitor
Due to the fact that I want a 980Ti, my monitor cant be 1440p. Its just too much money. This is the one I am getting. http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00QS0AK6U/ref=ox_sc_act_title_2?ie=UTF8&psc=1&smid=ATVPDKIKX0DER

Vengeance Pro modules are 44mm tall. Clearance under the Hyper 212 EVO fan mounted in its nominal position is 37mm. To use this combination of components the fan will have to be raised 5mm or the memory modules will have to use the second memory bank (check motherboard manual).

The motherboard is mATX and will look a little lost in an ATX case.

With a WiFi card installed, a second gpu becomes problematic. Which means that there is no need for a 750W psu. Something around 600W would be quite sufficient.

80+ ratings certify electrical efficiency. Not quality.
