I bought some extra intake fans but one of the fans only came with 3 screws, is it safe to mount the fan with only 3 screws?

I think it's safe. I got a fan or two with only two screws in a diagonal pattern. But make sure you have sound dampeners like a rubber edge so it wouldn't rattle.

Thank you but the fans I bought were just cheap standard quiet fans and it's in a NZXT S340 so I will probably just lower the RPM and hope for the best if not then I will just mod the fans

It will be fine. As long as the mounting point is flat 3 screws is plenty. Don't crank them down to hard tho as it will cause the fan to bow and then you will get annoying rattle's. Just make sure all 3 are snug and you will be fine.

Or, you can always find an old PC and take the screws out of it. Fan screws have been standard since forever.

What you should really do, is RMA it, more so if you haven't open screw bag yet. Fans always include 3 screws and you pay to get all what package is suppose to include. There's no point to take that kind of service from anyone.

Yeah but I already opened everything and it's not that bad I have 3 screws in and I can't hear a single rattle even though it doesn't have rubber on the mounting so I'm contempt with it and I could easily buy a screw.

You could bring one of the screw and look for it over at your local hardware store. Make sure you get the right size and threading though.
