PSU ?

Go to solution Solved by Jesseeee,

Is 850w PSU enouht for 5960k // 980ti ??

A minimum of 600 watt PSU will do the job, to be safe i would go for 700 watt so you can throw as many SSD, HDD and expansion cards as you want... and it still has room for overclocking.

5960k has a reported TDP of 140w

980ti has a reported TDP of 250w (even tho this is a lie and it uses about 350w depending on OC)

Is 850w PSU enouht for 5960k // 980ti ??

Its enough but having headroom and overkill powersuply has advantages, like for example i'm on 1300 g2 @ 50% load it has peek eficiency and it runs cold, while if i wen't with minimum psu requirement i would run hot and have bigger change to burn my house down.

lol :D
