I don't know if this is the right website to post in, but anyways, I have a problem with AC Unity having broken saves. Basically no matter how far I progress in the game, it returns me to a certain part in the game, specifically when Arno is in prison. Does anybody now how to fix this? I'm running version 1, I think

Anything tech related can definitely be posted here, We here at the forum are sure to help with almost anything. However I must say your first problem here is playing AC unity. Beyond that I personally can't help with the matter.

Even for free the latest games from the AC series haven't been worth playing. I do really wish I could help, I am not trying to be rude but Unity is plagued with issues even this late after release. At least it runs now?

It runs, but I get a lot of glitches (like my character getting stuck in between the ceiling and the support beams when I tried to jump from a taller building onto a shorter one), frame rate drops occasionally into the mid 20s (keep in mind I'm running a GTX 970 ftw) and lots and lots of stuttering. It's hard to keep the game running at 60 even at high settings, so I saw no point in keeping Vsync on.

This helps explains why nobody is really helping on the situation. Unity, and most ubisoft games are incredibly terrible on pc. There is almost no reason to play their games let alone buy them.

Yeah, I honestly think that at this point nobody should be giving ubisoft any money. It's ridiculous when their second biggest money maker is PC (which btw makes more money than xbone and 360 combined), on top of that, nVidia partnered with them twice for the gameworks crap and they still can't get the damn game to work right. Black flag, Rogue and Unity suffer from the same glitches, fucked up physics, broken game mechanics, terrible anti aliasing and horrible optimization. This crap is ridiculous. Hell, Unity takes just as long to load as GTA V and it isn't even half as optimized as that game is.
