If you're in that price range, go ahead and buy an i5 4690k. Everything else is fine, but if you want, you can cut back on some places so you can buy a 290 or 390.

just for future reference, put this on the "new builds and planning" section of the forum :)

other than that your rig looks pretty good but if you're planning to do some 3D work like CAD I'd go with the beefier CPU like oberon said

Still, get the 4690k. It's better value and better at multitasking, plus it'll last you longer.

i think since youre only playing light games the gpu is a bit too much a mean the r9 280x is geared to max out most games at 1080p 60fps and youre playing lite games. I would spend more money on the cpu rather than the cpu. For light gaming, a r7 360 or a 750 ti is more than enough. Get a i7 or a i5 4690k

1. Yes it can. Source or bogus.

2. If you are willing to sacrifice a lot of GPU power for an SSD, be a fool and do so. But at least say that in your post.

3. Cheap case with good reviews. Don't like it? Change it.

4. Don't be so demanding an rude to someone who was trying to help.
