how will this run games?

Quad core q8400 2,6ghz, gtx 960, 8 gb 1333mhz. How will it run gta v, ac unity, League of Legends and such. Also is the gtx 960 the right thing to get with this? btw im upgrading not building

I would go with a G3258 instead of the Q8400.

 

Also, I think there is a more powerful AMD card than the 960 for around the same price. But, I haven't bought a single AMD product, so I wouldn't know.

If you havent bought it yet the R7 265 is a faster GPU than the 960, and 2.6ghz might be low to be playing GTA5, but i've never tried to run anything at such low speeds.

It's comparable to the 750TI but no the 960.

R9 280/x series is comparable to the 960. Better to get a 280x than a 960 because the price range is practically 10 dollars more for more performance.

In that case, that is the best processor for that socket. However, you could get a microATX Z97 mobo for really cheap these days. However, that would also require a new windows key.

The G3258 is actually cheaper (I believe) than the Q8400. You could use that bit of extra money you save to get a cheap mobo.

i mean he's from canada, so his native language is english. tbh if you're native language is english i expect you to use your/you're right. Is that too much?

I guess you make one mistake and get flayed for it.  I do know the correct usages thank you, however I typed that quickly on my phone and didn't care enough to fix it. Is it too much for you to lean how to capitalize your letters? Technically 'i' isn't a word. Just sayan.

 

Also if we really care about English and proper grammer, tbh means nothing, either.
