I have a motherboard with lga775 and have a pentium atm. i wanna upgrade to a better one. is a quad core q8400 good for gaming? i plan on playing games like League, Ac games, maybe gta v. Is this good enough pared with a 960 and 8gb ram? It's 40 euro on amazon.

Yeah, that processor will be worlds better but not sure whether it will offer the futureproofing that you could or might expect.

Sure, still an okay chip. I recommend just upgrading to LGA1150 or wiating for Skylake on the LGA1151 platform. But 40 euro isn't that bad (I think, I am in the US, so).

Depending on your motherboard, you could upgrade to a QXXX or not.

i don't expect it to last more than 1,5 years orso. then i'll have enough for more upgrades.
