Not exactly sure where to post this so...

I reasently bout a AVer capture card, not sure what model but it has HDMI in. I use HDMI in to record my xbox game play (YES I know, PC is better but I use my xbox for games like HALO). The card software has a built in record feature but has no key binding!, plus the game will "slightly" jump/lag. Insted, I tryed to use seperate recording software "Fraps" to record the capture cards screen as it has key bindings, does not lag and is able to record voice chat. The problem is, after about 1 - 10 minutes of recording, the capture card displays "Out of Range", and I have to restart the software. I am using HDMI in and in the software it is set to Pal 60 to match my xbox, my friend who sold it to me didn't have this problem when he used Fraps to overcome the same issues. What are some sercamstances that could cause this problem? and what could be done to prevent this in the future?
