water cooling is too overkill for just a locked processor. look, even better, get a 212 evo, use the leftover money to get a 4690k, slightly overclock it to use the z97 board you're using.

960 sli is just silly. i would just get a single 970/390 since it'll last you way longer.

ill whip you up a list. 1400 usd right?

CPU: Intel Core i5-4690K 3.5GHz Quad-Core Processor  ($229.99 @ SuperBiiz)

Storage: OCZ ARC 100 240GB 2.5" Solid State Drive  ($79.99 @ Newegg)
Video Card: EVGA GeForce GTX 980 Ti 6GB Video Card  ($649.99 @ Amazon)
Case: NZXT S340 (White) ATX Mid Tower Case  ($59.99 @ Micro Center)
Total: $1344.29

snip

Cons of the build:

-Get a single card as SLI 960 is a pure waste of money

Reason: 960 was meant for cheaper builds and SLI is hard to set-up and isn't supported by most games

-You won't need the MOBO and cooler yet alone overclock an I5-4460

Reason: Z boards are used for overclocks and water cooling isn't necessary for a locked processor

First of all, get a hyper 212 evo instead of the kraken, You will have money for a 4690K (or 6600K later) and then you can oc. Secondly dont get 2 960s. Get a 390. And2 960s on a 500w PSU is not going to run.

PC is Intel Core i5 6400, GIgabyte H170 Gaming 3, Corsair Vengeance LPX 2x4GB 2400Mhz ,Sandisk Ultra Plus 128GB, WD Blue 1TB, NZXT S340, ASUS Geforce GTX 960. Fractal Design Tesla R2 650W. http://au.pcpartpicker.com/p/793XNG. Graphics card choices don't always have to be dictated on performance. If you want the game stream and power consumption of the GTX 970 get that. If you want raw performance of the R9 390 get that. In the end we are all gamers, so what if your buddy gets an extra 5 fps?

even then, 2 960's are a bad idea.

in op, i am thinking your budget is 1400. look at my list :)

Alright one more question what do you think about the fans are there any other better options?

No, SP fans are great. I might also suggest a bigger power supply. You can run a GTX 970 on a 550w PSU, but I would get something bigger. Also are you going to change the CPU?

Well, if you change out your kraken X41 for a Hyper 212 evo, that might give you enough money for a 4690K. The temps will be fine and you will be taking advantage of that board

also what do you think of this

  • The NZXT Phantom 530 (Black) ATX Full Tower Case supports video cards up to 444mm long, but video cards over 310mm may block drive bays. Since the Gigabyte GeForce GTX 970 4GB WINDFORCE Video Card is 312mm long, some drive bays may not be usable.

i heard someone else saying that they had bad experiences with it :/

With the case, it simply means that one of the HDD cages cant be used. You will have to remove it. There are 2 more so you can still install 3 hard drives. And with the Hyper 212 evo its not that bad it is the most popular CPU cooler. Everyone with that cpu cooler said they ahd a great experience with it

im not sure, You can look up noise samples online, there are bound to be plenty for this cooler

what is your recomendation for an aio?

An AIO might even be louder due to pump noise. Personally would still go with Hyper 212 evo. You save money for the cooler and you get money for 4690K. Im sure Hyper 212 will be fine with noise.
