Just finished my first build and have hit a snag due to inexperience with diagnostics of an issue any help would be appreciated.

The PC is running fine on games such as Hearthstone or Rocket League however when i load games like Assassins Creed or World of Warcraft it will play fine for  anywhere between 15 minutes/ 3 hours then cut out. When it cuts out the led indicator on the cases power switch remains illuminated however all other components appear to stop and the screen is black. After hard restart no messages are shown. As far as i can tell all cables are firmly attached to sockets and the highest temps at time of cut out where CPU=48 GPU=68 (Celsius) so i assume its not over heating. There is a surge protector attached and the rest of the PC build is as follows :

  • NZXT H440 Case with stock fans
  • Intel 4690k (LGA 1150)- Not Overclocked
  • MSI Nividia GTX 970
  • 2x 4Gb Fury HyperX RAM
  • WD Green HDD
  • Samsung Evo 850 SSD
  • NZXT Kraken x61 all in one CPU cooler
  • Corsair CX600 Modular PSU
  • Gigabyte Z97P-D3 Intel LGA1150 Z97 ATX Motherboard

Do I need a bigger power supply? Does anybody have any idea what this might be?
