Hi guys. So recently my psu died and left me with the laborious quest of finding one that will replace it.

so i am looking for a psu that is fully or semi-modular, with about 750 or 800 watts range, and wont leave me broke.!!

So i looked around and this is what i got:

-Corsair HX 750w

-CM Gx 750w

-XFX Pro Series 750w

-seasonic X series 750w

-Gigabyte ODIN GT 800w

to be frank i am leaning towards the XFX pro but i ain't sure.

appreciate any help thanks in advance.. :D

PS: if you can suggest one with a red and black color scheme, i kinda want to keep a clean look in my pc.. :P

Aren't a lot of corsair power supplies just re-branded seasonic ones

Yes. So are XFX psus and some Coolermaster psus. I would avoid coolermaster still though since it's more obscure and it depends from specific model to model whether or not it's actually a seasonic psu.

The XFX, and Seasonic power supplies that you chose are great since they are all made by Seasonic. Wouldn't go for the Corsair one that you chose since its not made by Seasonic which makes it not as good. Never used CWT (HX 750 manufacturer) psus so don't know how good their quality is. Heres is a list of the manufacturer's of psus: http://whirlpool.net.au/wiki/psu_manufacturers

Just and FYI, Cooler Master only has one line from Seasonic, ATM and that's the V series. There's also a new PSU manager working at Cooler Master and is pretty reputable at Overclock.net during his time as PSU Editor. I'm having high hopes for the future releases of them.

Between the all of them, I would go with either the Seasonic X 750w KM3 or the XFX ProSeries 750w Black Edition. The XFX is internally a SS X KM3 unit, so it's an excellent performing unit; however, it does uses a lower quality 2BB fan from ADDA rather than the 2BB Sanyo Denki. Another option you could look at is the Cooler Master V700. It too is a KM3 unit internally but with a higher quality FDB fan from Protechnic. The main different you probably would see is that it doesn't have the semi-fanless switch, which is ok considering how the FDB is quiet. ATM it cost $110.50 on Newegg with a $30 MIR if you want to take advantage of it. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817171080

Anyways, what are you powering, what country/state are your from, and what is your budget?

Sorry i missed putting that, here are my specs:

-i7 950 @ 3.07 GHz

-AMD R7770 1GB

-DX58SO 2 MB

-12GB Kingstone KVR

-seagate 500 GB HDD x3

and i live in the middle east, btw i use a cooler master haf x case so i need a psu with a 24 pin that is long enough to reach all the way from the behind the mb panel.( the old one was short had to run it over the board)

A cx430 would be plenty for your system.

Corsair AX760i

What the deuce--he has a 7770. A 300w would have no problem with it.

What kind of upgrades will you be doing in the future? Also, can you provide us any links as to where you are able to buy from?
