Administrator permissions - win 10

            Well.. I was trying to install windows 10, and I tried saving to my C drive after literally unplugging my D drive. It says "You need administrator rights to save here, would you like to save to ******** instead?" That is probs keeping me from installing windows 10.. plz help me! D:

Does it give you a prompt giving you the option to continue your file operation with escalated privileges?

 

If so that's the point of UAC (User Account Control).

 

You shouldn't be saving random files to the root of your C: Drive, this is what your user home directory is for (C:\User\<name here>)

 

And no this should not stop you upgrading to Windows 10

         I already uninstalled win 8.1 64bit, I lost the disk for it, so I had to use 32bit to upgrade to win 10, but I'll buy a 64bit disc from a shop later today, ik of a local one with every installation disk in the book(probs not all....)
