so my friend Is offering to sell me his 2012 MacBook Pro and I was debating wether it was better to buy this MacBook Pro and upgrade it or buy a new asus zen book both will have about the same specs (except for the processor)and will cost the same(about 700$ U.S) but I don't know what would be better for me.

The MacBook will have a dual core i5 and the zen book has a core m.

I will upgrade the Mac with an ssd and ram to match the zen book but I don't know which will be better for me.

I have a powerful desktop computer at home but I need something on the go, it doesn't need to be so powerful because all the heavier stuff I will do on my desktop PC. I love both of the computers designs but I need to know which one is better. Also the OS doesn't matter

Heyyo,

Hmmm, I'm guessing this 2012 Macbook Pro 13.3"...

Versus this Asus Zenbook Zenbook UX305FA-ASM1 13.3"...

And I say get the Asus Zenbook. It'll be better on battery, the screen has a higher resolution, the camera too.

Also, I doubt that 2012 Macbook Pro has any warranty left in it... buying the Asus Zenbook Zenbook UX305FA-ASM1 would give you a year of manufacturer warranty.
