Not Compatable?

Go to solution Solved by 79wjd,

The cooler is too tall for the case. You need to get a case which has 160mm of clearance.

Also, go with a locked i5 and an H81 board unless you plan on upgrading the G3258 immediately. Go for a different ssd (the V300 is terrible), try and step up to an R9 280/x (even if it means getting a cheaper PSU), and lose the fans.

So, I'm looking to build a new overclocked PC for gaming (fair budget orientated), and I entered all my desired parts into PcPartPicker.com and it says that a Cooler Master Hyper 212 EVO 82.9 CFM Sleeve Bearing CPU Cooler and Corsair SPEC-01 RED ATX Mid Tower Case are not compatible. Is this correct, because i think they should work just fine. Also, if you wish to comment on the system, I already have a hard drive and sound card and the PSU needs changing.

Thanks

Yup. The cooler is to tall. You'll have to get a wider case.
