Upgrade whats the rest of your specs?

hi,

i am looking to do a upgrade to my desktop pc, i have a evga gtx 660 oc.

i was looking around fog sli more for the look than the performance of 1 more powerfull gpu.

if i want the sli, i need a new motherboard to (1150).

 

what is the best option for me?

Sell the 660 and get a new GPU. Go for a 960 or 970 if selling your current card gets you enough money.

New GPU, that card is too outdated, you would find yourself replacing both in a year at most

How much cash you got to spare, and what country do you live in OP?

 

Overall i'd say a new GPU would be better than SLI'ing two of those.

While the 660 is a great card, personally I would not SLI it. I would go for a 970 or even a 980 if you have the money.

 

970: $300

980: $550

A 980 now days is $500

A newer card like the 970 will let you have the stability of a single card setup, and full dx12 compatibility...

Wasent there something about maxwell having "full" compatibility with dx12?
