Hey guys I am having some problems. I am freezing daily (just froze for about 2 minutes) I am not sure why. I have not done anything new via hardware or software since march when I installed my new video card. I have an image of the last crash. The only blue screen I have received. But I have a WD Black 1tb that I bought going on 6ish years. I use it as a storage drive where I keep my documents pictures programs ect. and use my SSD as a boot drive. I think the WD Black is going out could this be causing my problems?

Update: Just froze had to restart and got a Recovery Blue screen:

Microsoft's website says that your particular error code could be associated with you having bad RAM.

Edit: This is less likely, bit if you have a cheap SSD w/ paging file enabled (Seriously, who needs a paging file these days) then your SSD could be failing.

It's completely blown out of proportion. I was worried that it could be my SSD and or my WD Black. I recently found out also my ram is not on the list for compatible memory for my mobo.

Hey grizzlypaugh,

I would test the RAM sticks if they are working properly. It would be helpful if you provided us with the parts list of your computer. since they are not in the compatibility list, I would consult with the manufacturer of your motherboard if they can work at all.

If you want to be on the safe side with the HDD, I would suggest running a diagnostic utility on the drive and see if the drive's health and S.M.A.R.T. status are OK. A good tool that I would recommend is WD Data Lifeguard Diagnostic tool: http://products.wdc.com/support/kb.ashx?id=bIUOf2
