1/2"x3/4" seems to be what I see most recommended and is what I used in building the first loop I did, but the thinner tubings may be a little easier to work with and less likely to kink at tighter radii. I know in his "Ultimate" water cooling build log -- the one using two Titans and 5 radiators -- Linus used 3/8" ID tubing and fittings.

Wife's build: Amethyst - Ryzen 9 3900X, 32GB G.Skill Ripjaws V DDR4-3200, ASUS Prime X570-P, EVGA RTX 3080 FTW3 12GB, Corsair Obsidian 750D, Corsair RM1000 (yellow label)

My build: Mira - Ryzen 7 3700X, 32GB EVGA DDR4-3200, ASUS Prime X470-PRO, EVGA RTX 3070 XC3, beQuiet Dark Base 900, EVGA 1000 G6

3/8 5/8 is the best over all tubing wont kink easy since has very thick walls . going up in size of tubing is fine dont go down too much 1/4 ID and under has restriction issues

I wanna buy some hoses for my watercooled pc build but i dont know which size looks best. I didnt buy fittings already so say your favorite.

Mainly depends what you have available for fittings and tubing's first but in general 3/8"ID 1/2"OD, 3/8"ID 5/8"OD  (small diameter)and 1/2"ID 3/4"OD (large diameter).

The difference between the two is mainly look more than anything, I personally use thick walled tubing 3/8"ID 5/8"OD.

Size of the tubing doesn't matter your not going to see any different temp with bigger tubing for instance.  Just get whatever you think looks best and/or is Cheaper/Easier to get.

3/8ID 5/8 OD is my favourite and the most used and the easiest to get fittings for. the smaller the tubing the less water you will need and the cheaper the fittings will be

Ya the different measuring system that the states uses is a pain in the ass.

Just make sure your tubing and fittings are exact size not nominal since metric measurements are sometimes nominal values and not exact values.

for 3/8"ID 5/8" OD as Ryoku said it's 10mm ID 16mm OD, where 3/8"=9.525mm  5/8"=15.875mm.
