Intel i4590 cooler

Go to solution Solved by ind3x,

The stock cooler is 'enough' but it's loud and a bit hot.

The hyper212 is a  cheap budget cooler which gives silence and better cooling, and therefore it's usually suggested.

If you can buy the Katana 4 for cheaper than the 212, then go ahead and do it. It's not an absolutely necessary upgrade, but it's nice not to have your CPU cooler sound like a jet engine when under load.

Hi,

just little question - is Scythe Katana 4 enough for Intel i4590 stock speeds...lot of people on forums recommend CollerMaster Hyper212+ , but Scythe is cheaper in my country and has very simmilar (or slightly better) temps and lower noise according to reviews, that i observed.

Its dumb question, but i dont know if these coolers are enough for this CPU.

Thank you very much for response.

Even the stock cooler is enough but an aftermarket cooler might give you lower noise levels.

TechPowerUp's review of it used a 4770K, which is much more powerful. It'll practically keep your 4590 frigid.
