Hi I just wanted to see if anybody else has an idea of why this can be happening.

sometimes when i play games on my system it just restarts without warning or error.I have done all i can think of i used monitering software and i have seen that my CPU never goes about 80 even when full load max is around 70C my GPU's (780's) are also both within normal temps one is around 60 - 70 C(watercooled with CPU) and the other 85C ( air cooled ). i have enough power as i have a RM850 Gold.

even when i run heavy loads like 3Dmark and load tests on CPU and GPU it does not restart just randomly when i Game even in Games like CS:GO.

i have CPU at 4.5 and GPU's are at 1250 Core.

if you guys have any idea's let me know.

Following this as I am having the same happen. I can also do heavy things like play GTA V (surround), yet with nothing running except Itunes it just restarts.

Hopefully the solution for clementk will also help me. :D

780s are power hungry cards. Perhaps your PSU can't keep up or is dying?

you could be over exerting your psu

he says it only happens in games even low performance stuff like cs:go but not in load testes so i don't think it is the PSU.

could be the GPU.

if i take the nvidia power % usage on my cards and use there TDP they should never use more then 500W together with the overclockes. that's leaves 350W for the CPU and the rest. PSU is also only 4 months old so should not be the problem.

Could it be that the CPU voltage might not be enough ? its stable in stress tests but that the only thing i'm not 100% sure of ? even if it does not freeze or blue screen

valley benchmark on a loop does not make the PC restart even when both GPU are 100% loaded.

crazy idea have you tried running the games in window mode? i have noticed that running in window mode it fixes tons of crash and BSOD problems.

well i don't get BSOD and the problem with windowed mode is game run more choppy. i will try to add some V to the CPU and see if it happens again since i have 4.5Ghz on 1.25V on my i5-4690k
