Optimal sample rate and bit depth setting.

Just wondering what people usually have these set to, I usually just go highest bit and 44.1kHz as I heard upsampling the rate would introduce aliasing. Tried to listen to the differences, but all I can tell is upsampling makes the music slightly louder.

I think that is a dac if i am righ.Even more when you have a dac.The point of one of those is to convert analog audio coming from your pc into a better sound

In practice, most DACs are barely capable of 16 effective bits, and the best are realistically no more than 18-20.

Going beyond 44.1/16 is pointless.

A higher sample rate isn't going to sound better, and increasing the bit depth just decreases the noise floor, thing that you can only notice on a very, very quiet room.

Going above 16/44.1 for playback will at best do nothing, at worse degrade the quality. Pointless.
