CS GO Scam?

I'm new to CS GO trading and I've been posting trades on CS GO Lounge. As soon as I did this I received two friend requests from people i didn't know. Is this a scam or do they have to do this to send a trade?

Yes they are bots, dont add anyone you dont know. CS lounge is a fcking cesspool so you need to be careful of who you add.

Never click on fishy links and all that stuff

Generally, if they're low levels and have a private page/backpack is empty, block them. Phishers are everywhere on the lounge.

Just use a trade offer link, that's the best way.

Most of them are sketchy especially in the lounge

Most of them will be bots just have a look at their steam account before you accept or do any trade with them make sure they have a steam level and look at the past names of the account.

Thanks to my fairly higher profile csgo and dota 2 inventories, I get these kinds of guys literally everyday. Even last night I got 3 freaking requests. Since then I've moved all of my trade inventory to a private account. But, the majority of these guys are just trying to get free items, or scam you out of something you have.

 

If you posted a trade to Csgo lounge though, then one might be an actual guy, but it's much safer to just go through a trade url on the lounge. In the trade description add something like "DO NOT ADD" or "ADD=BLOCK". Then just block anyone who adds you.
