So I tried to reinstal Windows 7 on a friend of mines laptop but this thing occurred: "Windows cannot be instaled on this disk. The selected disk is of the GPT partition style.". So this is no big deal I fouond some answers on how to fix it. Problem is I have to clean the entire hdd and as clumsy as I am I formated the partition where Windows was installed and now I can't go and save the data from the other partition. So I wanna ask if there is a way I can copy the data from that partition to a flash drive using the console during windows installation(There is not much data on that partition about 7gb mostly pictures and word documents).

You can't copy anything when windows is installing. But to my knowledge installing to one partition doesn't effect on files residing on another partition. Or you can just use Linux-live CD/USB. Easy and fast way.
