Hey guys, I want to eventually get around to replacing my crappy Turtle Beach X12 headset. It gets VERY uncomfortable after short amount of time and actually starts to hurt after a while. The thing is that my ears tend to tick out a little wider than normal, so my ears keep pushing up against the driver wall inside, plus my glasses push against my head from how firm the ear cups are. Can you guys recommend me a headset with extremely deep and large earcups? The cheaper the better, but not sounding like it. A microphone would be a definite plus, as would leatherette instead of cloth. Thanks!

But the earcups seem larger than the ones on the Cloud II. Anything from Sennheiser or Sony worth considering?

The earcups are big, but they compress and start to hurt your ear, and the headband is really tight for it's shape

Sennheiser HD 558s have great soundstage for it it's price, but it doesn't have a mic

I'm not sure about Sony though

HyperX Clouds are the best overall for price though

Are the Razer ones any good? They seem to have pretty large earcups. Lol

RAzer headsets have the worst mics in the world and are waaaay out of his price range.

Are these even worth considering? My friend has one and they seemed comfortable enough and the mic quality was decent.

The point is to have big earcups and the Cloud headset looks the same as my Turtle Beach headset. I don't want to risk it, is there anything else? Sony, Sennheiser, Beyerdynamics, Audio Technica?

Don't base your headphones on the size of the ear cups. There's a lot more to comfort than just that.

Material type, clamping strength, headband and weight all come into play.

I'm not sure if the original clouds are still for sale, but i'd pick up one of those if you must get a headset, but I suggest watching this first.
