New Graphics card

Go to solution Solved by don_svetlio,

Most certainly yes. R9 380, R9 280, R9 280X will all outperform the 960. I'd suggest the 4GB 380 or the 280X.

Hello everyone!

I was wondering, what is a good gtx 900 series card that is cheap, but favors gaming performance?

I'm looking for the 200 range, to MAYBE 250, but I'm kind of tight.

Also, I'm upgrading from my previous graphics card, My PSU is 650w, is that enough for a 900 series card?

Please reply back c:

If you want a 900 series card for that budget (assuming you mean us dollars), your only real option is a gtx 960. What is the rest of your system like? However, if you are willing to buy a used card, you may be able to get a 970, but I don't think that will be easy.

For that price range you can get a 280x for most performance at a slightly higher price.

Or for slightly lower you can get a 960 for a bit less :)

Assuming USD/ Not going for 2nd hand

If you mean $250 most that will get you is a 4GB 960 which is pointless when you can get a 290,280X or 380 which are all better than 960 and will run on 650W

Ok so assuming from these posts, To clarify things up, I'm referring to USD.  So a 960 or a radeon card is what you guys are telling me?

Would a radeon card be the better choice?

I would suggest a 290 it's the best possible card you can get for that budget
