Hey guys, so I'm looking to get a R9 390. I wanted to get the MSI one, but looking more into it, the PowerColor PCS+ is cheaper as it comes with a gift card, and it seems to have more stable stock at Newegg. (MSI keeps selling out) I wanted to know how PowerColor as a company is. I've heard very mixed things, some people say they're great, some people say to avoid them at all costs. I've also heard to only buy the PCS+ cards. So, what is the final verdict on them? Any other card recommendations? (Must have a backplate and be a 390) Thanks guys.

Also: DO NOT RECOMMEND A 970. I have done the research and they trade blows, with the 390 being cheaper and having more VRAM.

I like the 390, powercolour is good IMO i see alot of old systems pass through at the office and those powercolours seem to last well

My last experience with PowerColor is when ATI was still a thing(lel), and they were pretty good then, just had a questionable warranty. Their new cards seem pretty good, just cant speak for them.

A lot of people hate PowerColor since its not a popular brand, just be weary of this. "If its not Asus then its not good."

No one's had an issue with them in those systems?

In the past, PC has been pretty crummy, but as of late, they've been doing very well. PCS+ is a great option for an R9 card

Alright, thanks for the input.

The pcs+ is great, we have member reviews of it.

I'll take a look thanks.

Well... I have a r7 265 from PowerColor and that thing runs well... Didn't look like a cheapo card to me...

No issues at all? How does the warranty seem to you?

Thanks guys, I'm starting to lean to the PCS+. But we'll see the final decision next week.

No issues really. Maybe at high speeds the fans get loud, but this isn't a pcs+ card. It's a turboduo card. Not that it matters anyways since the card always stays cool a 60*C. Warranty on my card is 3 years.
