Root trouble

So I own a ZTE Awe (N800) and recently have become tired with my phone and all the bloatware.  Let's just say....my geek-y self is being driven nuts by how little control I seem to actually have about what it on my phone so I have recently tried to root it.  With no success.  I have tried several of the one touch root apps and they vary why they fail by they all do fail in the end. 

 

So now is the part where I ask for help.  I don't care if I have to use a computer or not but I do want to root it and I don't want to brick my phone right before a vacation so a tad more help then the "just do it...it's easy" forums I have found would be nice :P

Rooting these chinese shits i found towelroot to be the most effective. Not in Play Store lol

Step 1: download and install this: https://towelroot.com

Step 2: make it ra1n

Step 3: ?????????

Step 4: Profit!

Yeah its literally that simple. If towelroot fails you are fucked. No root for you.
