Hello, my mom just gave me a little summer project. i can build water system i want, but it has to be all water-cooled. so there isn't a budget. but i want to build a ultimate gaming machine that can overclock massively. here's the requirements.

custom cpu loop

custom gpu loop (minimum 2 cards)

extra points for ram/mobo cooling.

x99 system

tl;dr:  are there any resources i could use on learning how to assemble a dual gpu and cpu custom watercooling loop, and is there a way to cool ram and motherboard as well?

and here's the parts list i decided on (advice would be good)

CPU: Intel Core i7-5820K 3.3GHz 6-Core Processor  ($378.99 @ SuperBiiz)
Motherboard: ASRock X99 Extreme4 ATX LGA2011-3 Motherboard  ($190.99 @ SuperBiiz)
Storage: Intel 730 Series 240GB 2.5" Solid State Drive  ($139.99 @ SuperBiiz)
Video Card: EVGA GeForce GTX 980 Ti 6GB Video Card (2-Way SLI)  ($649.99 @ B&H)
Video Card: EVGA GeForce GTX 980 Ti 6GB Video Card (2-Way SLI)  ($649.99 @ B&H)
Total: $2384.82
Prices include shipping, taxes, and discounts when available

1. and what can i expect on overclocking limits?

2. and would it be that much harder to watercool more than 2 gpus?

3. what case should i go with?

Why do you need it to be an X99 system?

If the PC is just for gaming you really dont need an X99 system.

An i7-4790K would be more than enough for your gaming needs.

My Rigs:

Gaming/CAD/Rendering Rig
Case:
Corsair Air 240 , CPU: i7-4790K, Mobo: ASUS Gryphon Z97 mATX,  GPU: Gigabyte G1 Gaming GTX 970, RAM: G.Skill Sniper 16GB, SSD: SAMSUNG 1TB 840 EVO, Cooling: Corsair H80i PCPP: https://au.pcpartpicker.com/b/f2TH99SFF HTPC
Case:
Silverstone ML06B, CPU: Pentium G3258, Mobo: Gigabyte GA-H97N-WiFi, RAM: G.Skill 4GB, SSD: Kingston SSDNow 120GB PCPP: https://au.pcpartpicker.com/b/JmZ8TW

sorry, just one of the requirements. i didnt make the rules

if you read the op, this was a summer project and its kind of a competition thing

The motherboard supports quad channel memory operation which means that quad channel memory kits (4 sticks) will provide optimal performance. G.Skill Ripjaws Series 16GB (4 x 4GB) DDR4-2400 Memory would look better IMO. However, if you decide to include memory in the custom cooling loop G.Skill Value 16GB (4 x 4GB) DDR4-2400 Memory would be much easier to work with.

One of the Phanteks Enthoo cases would be a good choice. They have excellent features to support custom cooling loops. The Luxe includes a controller with lighting that can be augmented by adding optional LED strips. http://www.phanteks.com/Enthoo-Luxe.html

You might consider complimenting the build with colored psu cables, http://www.evga.com/Products/Product.aspx?pn=100-CU-1300-B9.

Not easy to get but http://www.evga.com/Products/Product.aspx?pn=06G-P4-4999-KR would make liquid cooling the gpu much easier. The gpu are designed to be used in a custom cooling loop.

Yes it is possible to liquid cool more than two gpu.

Check out the EVGA SLI bridges. Some of them offer nice lighting options. http://www.evga.com/Products/ProductList.aspx?type=14

Overclocking potential very much depends on the particular chip(s) one ends up with.

Intel 750 Series 400GB PCI-E Solid State Drive, Samsung SM951 256GB M.2-2280 Solid State Drive, and Samsung SM951 512GB M.2-2280 Solid State Drive are much faster than any SATA III ssd. Up to five times faster.

There are numerous guides to liquid cooling. http://linustechtips.com/main/topic/5435-watercooling-faq-some-basic-qa/http://linustechtips.com/main/topic/1755-water-cooling-101-a-good-place-for-newbies-to-start/,  http://www.anandtech.com/show/7363/the-neophytes-custom-liquid-cooling-guide-how-to-why-to-what-to-expect

Is your mom rich or something and paying for all this? If you plan on water cooling two gpus and a cpu, and if you also plan on doing memory and motherboard, that's probably going to bump the cost up several hundreds, $500 minimum.

thank you, any advice on watercooling the motherboard?

This question is best asked in http://linustechtips.com/main/forum/36-water-cooling/.

There are water blocks for some models of X99 motherboards. So you may have to change your choice of motherboard.
