[Zenfone 6] trying to update to lollipop

After watching and reading many tutorials on how to update from kitkat to lollipop I download the zip file needed and checked the firmware on my device which is up to date. After putting it in the root directory there is no prompt to update using it even after a restart. wondering if you guys have any solutions.
