I am currently in the process of choosing parts for a new PC I am building. I am stuck on which GPU to go with. I am on a pretty strict budget which I know makes it hard. I plan on upgrading in the future though. So, I will be running primarily Adobe Premier Pro CC and some After Effects CC with some other multitasking. I am having trouble deciding which card. I will be running dual monitors as well. My price cap is $150 ish USD.

i7 5820k
g.skill ripjaws 4 32gb ram ddr4
This is also what I have picked out so far for CPU and Memory.
Thanks so much in advance.

why overkill on the CPU?

your build is kinda un-balanced

opt for the i7 4790K and you can set more money for the GPU

Budget? Uses? Currency? Location? Operating System? Peripherals? Monitor? Use PCPartPicker wherever possible.

Because he is using it for video editing and content creation?

Maybe if it was for gaming you could say its overkill but for what he is using it for its fine...

But I do agree he is spending a lot on the CPU and then nothing on the GPU

Adobe suite does use the GPU for OpenCL rendering so it makes sense to use the GPU for post processing

Ah didnt realise that, the CAD programs which I use are all CPU renderers so assumed those would be the same :P

The 4690k is good, but he said he wants to MAINLY use it for productivity not games, a 5820k and 960 would do him fine
