A core i5 4690k is a great video rendering CPU for a budget rig. It has a solid clock speed, and will not bottleneck anything else.

16 GB of ram is usually enough for rigs in this range.

If you use adobe cs, a gtx 970 or 960 will be good for cuda acceleration.

LIBERATOR: Core i5 6400 @ 2.7GHz | GeForce GTX 670 2 GB | HyperX Fury 8GB DDR4 @ 2133 MHz | 250 GB Samsung 850 Evo SSD
My new build; Liberator, Check it out

The more friendly we are, the more helpful we are!

MY OLD BUILD (AKA PREBUILT MONSTROSITY)
INSANITY: AMD Athlon II X2 @ 3.0 GHz | Geforce GT 720 2 GB | 4 GB DDR3 @ 1333 MHz | 120 GB Silicon Power SSD | 500 GB Hitachi HDD

Well you want a lot of CPU cores. AMD has many cores, but they are weak cores compared to Intel.

I'm sure you don't want a loud work environment, so the stock cooler just wont do, as it is loud.

You need a lot of Memory, 16GB should do it.

You are going to want to put those programs on an SSD so they load fast and preform very smoothly. You will also need bulk storage for everything that gets saved.

Having a GPU can help, but might not be necessary depending on the programs you use. I added one just in case.

Simple effective case.

Reliable power supply.

even tho its amd u still have a better core to core ratio then intel cores but intel would be a better choose if u had a bigger price rang around 2k
