CPU Insight -make sure you Read the post before responding-

So My Friend Brought me this motherboard and told me to take a look at and do what i want with it i decided to chuck the bored and keep the processor -it was from his old system- After cleaning of the remaining crusted Thermal Compound i noticed that the CPU was actually a Dual-Core AMD Athlon 2 running @ 3.0ghz So I have been considering Building a System Around it Could i get some insight or any thoughts on this CPU was it or is it Any good? --For Reference check this link-- http://www.cpu-world.com/CPUs/K10/AMD-Athlon%20II%20X2%20250%20-%20ADX250OCK23GM%20(ADX250OCGMBOX).html

Athlon 2 can be unlocked if you have a motherboard with core unlock support.. so sure... build around i say, but i would go no higher than an R9 270 for a GPU.

AMD Phenom II B55 Quad / unlocked dual core 4.3ghz CB R15 = CB 422

No, but Win 8 does use less memory...

I've had serious problems with Windows 8/.1 and have been fine with Windows 7...

Just putting it out there.
