Youtube was much younger back then. The standards are much higher today. Plus, Linus has a good work ethic, something many young people lack. They might get enthusiastic and then lose interest in less than half a year when they don't see enough hits. Linus had to do the videos for his job, and when he left NCIX he already had a good following.

Very few people can match his timing/work ethic/luck, and that is why very few tech Youtubers can touch his subscriber count. With enough work we can achieve many things, but emphasis on 'enough work'. Do you want it badly enough?

Yeah lol.

I've felt that loss of interest with youtube before when not getting enough hits, but recently I've started gaining more and more subscribers, more views, more comments, etc... all because of the new type of video I've been bringing out, and the new formatting for them, and honestly its quite encouraging to keep going and pushing for better content and growing my fanbase as much as possible.

Experimentation is key, if people are afraid to try new things to see if people like them or not, then they are not going to get anywhere.

I've been making videos for at least two years now I think, and I've just recently gotten 58 subscribers total.. :/ (Had around 30 1-2 months ago, so great improvements recently)
